Now in his thirties, Sergei Trustenko and his wife Anna reside in Canada with unlimited access to international trade in an increasingly elite medium of fine art jade!
Born in Russia and trained in sculpting since his youth, Sergei graduated with an MS in Architecture from Novochrekassk Polytechnical University in 1986 and then from the College of Fine Art in Rostov, Russia with an Honorable Distinction. He went on as a professional sculpture with the National Heritage Buildings in Russia working on such projects as capitals of columns and abacus of ionic orders, up to 40 sq.ft. base relief wall sculptures where he created innovative original techniques and materials.
Moving on with dynamic vision, he use his creative skills as an architect and exhibition designer for National Scientific Exhibitions of the Polytechnical University. Coordinating and supervising layout designs of visual advertisements and overseeing the production of tetonic elements by commercial studios provided necessary resources to keep his sculpting efforts moving briskly forward.
His graphic and illustrative intuitiveness and his extremely well designed art works in various mediums for major commercial enterprises highlighted his driving desire to excel in sculpting. In the early 90s Sergei embarked on a fast paced pursuit of private commissions for high profile collectors world wide in special settings and environments utilizing lost wax bronze as well as natural elements which at times has involved applying mixed media of man made metals and jewelry quality jade.
His quest to emerge as a premier sculpture of fine art is a reality. In areas ranging from wildlife to the human figure with international recognition for his abstract presentations, is a sought after sculpture specializing in commission works of "one of a kind", that are museum quality. Sergei can rarely be found in popular shows across the North America since acquisition of fine art quality stone and a keen sense of serving his clients keeps him fast at it.
