Canvas Cowboys

  3/25/01

    To Whom it may concern:

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Bink Picard and Canvas Cowboys for over 5 years.

During 2000, Mr. Picard was able to obtain for me two limited edition sculptures by Wyland a limited edition print by Tabora and an original piece by James Coleman. Several of the pieces were difficult to locate and obtain, but due to Mr. Picard’s extensive knowledge of the industry and his affiliations with these artists, he was able to acquire the pieces for my collection with a great deal of speed and professionalism.

Canvas Cowboys was also involved in the framing of two of the recently acquired pieces and the workmanship was flawless and thorough.

It is with the utmost of sincerity that I recommend Bink Picard and Canvas Cowboys. In the future, should I be in the market for a fine art piece, I will rely exclusively on Mr. Picard and his company to assist me in my acquisition.

    Very truly yours,

    Dear Bink:
I want to write and let you know how much Brenda and I appreciate the wonderful service you provided us. From start to finish, we were impressed by the personal attention you paid to our wants and needs.
We especially appreciate that on several occasions you traveled hundreds of miles to visit us in Oregon, first in order to see the new home we were building, then to show us samples of the work from the artist you found for us , and finally to see that the painting we purchased was properly hung – no small task for a 14’ wide x 6’ high painting! Additionally, you helped us negotiate a price with the artist that made purchasing his stunning painting affordable.
The painting is now the focal point of our great room, setting the theme for our entire home. Thank you for your thoroughly professional and caring stewardship of our purchase. Please be assured that we will be referring friends and business associates to you for their needs, and that the next time we are shopping for artwork you will be the first person we call.

    Bink,
Thank you for your help in acquiring SPELLBOUND and EVENING HUSH. I just visited your web page...very nice!
I was wondering what types of prints you had for WHEN THE NIGHT CALLS. If it is available in the giclay(?) I would be very interested.
Thank you again for the paintings and especially the great price. It looks like I will be buying many more paintings from Canvas Cowboys.

        Thank you,

Hi Bink Getting ready for a Fairbanks trip.
I want to thank you personally for the wonderful attention and understanding you gave me during my purchase of "Leopard in a Tree". You know how much I wanted it, but you never pushed. I cant begin to
Tell you how much I appreciate that! I was given time to make a decision and feel wonderful about it.
I now have a new "Room" just for this painting, what a joy!!
When my "Kitty" arrived my Christmas was complete. I believe I mentioned I was in bed for two weeks with the flu and had to miss my family in La Jolla until a later date. However, you and Dana Queen put a smile on this cat lovers face. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Needless to say, I will send all my friends your way.
You're the best! Dreams really come true.

        Sincerely,
Candide - Salt Lake City, Ut

    Dear Bink;
We recently received the Dana Queen print. Framing, etc. looks great.
As mentioned before, our daughter really likes the Endangered Manatees that we bought for her graduation.
Thank you very much for your good service in handling both of these orders.
Down the road we will be doing more business with you, Im sure.
    Thanks again , Bink.

        Sincerely;

    Dear Bink:
I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased I was with "Prelude to a Kiss".
The print is exactly as I remember it and the framing quality and workmanship are excellent.
As always, it was a pleasure working with you. Over the past couple of years, your efforts have helped to expand our art collection and I am grateful for your efforts. I truly value your opinions and advice and can assure that, should our future plans call for additional art acquisitions, you will definitely be our contact. In the meantime, if I know of anyone interested in a particular piece, I will not hesitate to recommend your services and would, without hesitation, endorse you and Canvas Cowboys to any serious art lover.
If you should get some copies of the book featuring Dana Queens I would love to have a copy.
Thank you again for your efforts and fine work.

        Very truly yours,

    Dear Bink:
This letter is sent to again express our appreciation for your efforts in locating the lovely "End of the Trail" bronze that now sits proudly in our home.
I was asked recently where and how I found it. I told my friend that while I was looking for the bronze for Bills birthday, I had been exhausting my efforts on places left where I might find one. I told them that I went into Wyland Galleries in Las Vegas and that mostly all the art form there was ocean oriented. How you approached me and I told you what I was looking for and that you mentioned how you would look around in your travels. That a few months went by and that after I had all but forgotten our conversation, you called and said that you had located a bronze and thus it now proudly sits in our home.
Thanks again, it is admired every time we have guests and, daily by us. Our best regards to and Chris.

        Sincerely,
Toni Crawford Las Vegas - Nv.

    Dear Bink:
I want to take a few minutes and express to you what a pleasure it has been, working with you and your wife. I have worked with several galleries in the past, and I must say that my experience with the Fine Art profession has been marginally pleasant, at best. It became evident very quick, that you and your wife are among the MOST professional and knowledgeable,
That the field of Fine Art has to offer. I feel my Investment has been more than " worth it", and I cant say enough positive, about our dealings with you.
Thanks again, Bink, for your help and experience. Our pediatric dental staff is very appreciative of you. You are a real asset to the Art Community.

    Dear Bink:
I want to thank you for your kind, efficient, and courteous service in negotiating the sale of my Wyland Limited Edition Bronze Sculpture "Ocean Child" A/P # 7/50, valued at approximately $11,700.
Your understanding of my need to sell this piece meant more to me than you can imagine, especially during this difficult time of Dons medical requirements. I truly enjoyed working with you and look forward to future endeavors wherein your skills will enable me to purchase several desired pieces.
Bink, please keep in touch with me over the next several years as my business is expanding at a rapid pace. As is my family. I am a grandmother once again bringing the total to three, so I do apologize for the tardiness of this letter, but I am sure that you can understand.
Don and I wish you and yours a most wonderful, healthy and happy Holiday season. Thank you again.

        Sincerely,
Jeannie Field - Las Vegas, Nv.

    To Whom It May Concern:
Bink Picard has served as a consultant to our dental office, helping us to obtain artwork complimentary to our existing artwork, and in our office dcor.
Over the course of perhaps 6 months, Bink visited my office dozen times to inspect, recommend, and consult. He was extremely impressive in his knowledge, contacts and experiences. His light touch, and low pressure manner were a pleasant surprise.
Especially impressive to me was that I had considered matching the frame color with those we already had in the office. When our three new images arrived, they were a significantly different color which dismayed me considerably. Bink reassured me that if I wasnt satisfied he would change the color of the frames immediately. It became obvious to all in the office after just a few days, that his selection was far more elegant, eye pleasing, and artistic than would have been duplicating the original colors.
Further, I suggested to Mr. Picard placing glass block in the wall adjacent to these pictures. In his own inimitable way, he recommended track lighting. I resisted this for some time, however, when the job was ultimately done in the track lighting, it was far more lovely than any of us could have predicted. Again, his taste, judgement proved very beneficial to our office.
We have been pleased with Mr. Picard in every particular, and feel he is a true art professional. We respect his judgement, and advice, and feel that he was extremely fair in all his dealings with our office.
I can highly recommend Mr. Picard as a consultant, and buyer. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to call.

        I remain your obedient servant,
David W. Gates DDS - Las Vegas, Nv.

    Dear Bink,
I wanted to drop you a short note to relate to you about a very satisfied client who contacted our studio personally. Gloria Wright-Teeple of Navarre, Florida, called just to tell me of your wonderful service during their recent purchase of John Pitres "Night Street".
Apparently, Gloria and her husband, Jim, have been art lovers and collectors for many years, yet they had never before encountered the level of attentive service you provided them. They were most impressive with your knowledge of the artist and the art, which apparently is sorely lacking in many art galleries sales personnel ( along with any semblance of customer service).
They also very much appreciated how you kept in touch and followed through with before, during, and after their purchase. They felt you were truly concerned with making their purchase a pleasant experience (which thereupon, she proceeded to tell me of the not so pleasant experiences she has had with a gallery that remain nameless!)
Bink, this is a win-win-win situation that is good for you, Pitre Fine Art, Inc., and most important of all, the client. We are looking forward to a greatworking relationship with you and Canvas Cowboys again the future.

        Sincerely,
        Clare Kingsley

    Dear Mr. Picard:
    RE: PURCHASE OF "THE CHASE":
I am writing with reference to my earlier correspondence and also our subsequent telephone conversations regarding the above. As you may be aware, Lynn and I have now received our deep sea green sculpture, totally undamaged! To say it is beautiful would be somewhat of an understatement. Both Lynn and I are totally enamored by it and in love with it we are so very pleased with the sculpture and our choice. We look forward to receiving our certificate of authenticity etc., which we understand are being forwarded from Hawaii.
I am writing to let you know that we shall certainly be looking at more of these sculptures and look
Forward to adding to our collection. Notwithstanding the initial disappointments when we first received the sculpture, your subsequent actions and the express delivery of this new piece have more than made up for it. We are very grateful for both your kindness and personal responses. We would also be grateful if you could pass our thanks to Lisa at the Monterey Sculpture Center for the packaging of the second sculpture it took a lot of time and patience to eventually reach the article!! We have also written directly to Mr. and Mrs. Hanson, thanking them for their kind response. Thank you once again and I hope next time we are in Las Vegas (or you journey to Florida), we may get a chance to meet you.
I wonder if I may ask one further favor? Could you please forward me the details and places I can obtain the cleaning materials to keep our sculpture in top condition.

        Sincerely
        John Boaden - Lauderhill, Fl.
